4 lbs!!!

Sorry it's been so long since we've posted anything, but we haven't had much internet access in the last few days. Our little man is doing great! He is officially 4 lbs and doing wonderful! He is going back and forth with the puffiness, but he's looking better everyday. Mommy got to hold him for almost 2 hours yesterday and it went great! Now we are just waiting to have regular bowel movements. He is tolerating being fed, which is awesome, and hopefully that will help him to start making progress. They were finally able to come down on his ventilator settings which is a good sign. We are hoping that when he's ready to come home, the only thing he'll be hooked up to will be apnea monitor. We'll post some more recent pictures later. Have a great day everyone!

Wow! Things are sounding great and I am sooooooo happy that you got to hold Bryton for almost 2 hours. You must have been in heaven! He is quite a miracle.

Hi guys - I am so glad to see that Bryton is putting on weight. I think weight gain is pretty much the normal during the last month"before a baby is born" - so with that even though he is already "in the here and now" his little system is reacting to what would have normally been going on before he was born.

Anyway I am glad to be following Bryton's progress - and how wonderul to hold your little angel for 2 hrs. - wonderful. Bryton is truly a Miracle of the Lord - and of technology also.

I have a girlfriend who years ago had a baby girl at A.I. Dupont (she was just the 2nd baby born there that was not quite 2 lbs and she did survive do to medical technology). She is 27 yrs. old today - still lives home with her parents and attended special school during her younger years. The medical field has just come so far in the last 30 yrs. Of course, I give praise to our Lord who gave professionals research and medical knowledge that have brought all of us this far. Have a great week. Aunt Connie
